This day of service will celebrate the power of individuals engaged in a worldwide struggle for peace, reconciliation, justice and social and economic equity. Organized by Hands On Atlanta in partnership with The King Center for Nonviolent Social Change, this day of service tribute will honor Dr. and Mrs. King’s lives, and will offer people of all backgrounds an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their role in social change. This year will be especially noteworthy in that the event will mark the inauguration of Hands On Atlanta’s Civic Leadership Program, a grant competition to equip civic leaders to create and execute innovative, ongoing and volunteer-driven initiatives to alleviate local poverty.

During the fall season, the Honda Battle of the Bands Celebration tour spotlights the excellence of 45 Historically Black College and University Marching Bands. The excitement culminates at the Dome in January for the Invitational Showcase, when 65,000 fans will be on their feet, dancing in the aisles and cheering for the top HBCU Bands. Participating schools include Albany State, Bethune-Cookman, Jackson State, South Carolina State, Tennessee State, Virginia State and Winston-Salem State, Prairie View A&M.

You'll find jugglers, unicyclists, yoyo pros, live music and family fun for all ages at the annual Groundhog Day Jugglers Festival. The main juggling competition happens Saturday at 2 PM. Rules for the juggling competition are simple, each competitor has 4 minutes, anything goes. The HYPERLINK "http://www.seedandfeed.org" \t "_blank" Seed and Feed Marching Abominable band opens the competition which is a free show and lasts about an hour or so. The judges confer after all the competitors finish and trophies will then be awarded. The festival also includes free juggling lessons, unicycle polo, Late Night Cabaret, Light Extravaganza and much more!
